The Quicksilver Boardriderz comp has seen some of the Worlds top Surfers and Snowboarders battle it out in this unique competition. The first two days of the competition saw Surfing action in the icy waters of St.Clair beach in Dunedin. Following this its a quick mission up to the snow at Cardrona to see the snowboarding skills in an all out Boarder-X event.
This was the first time this international event has ever been held in New Zealand and it was a huge success.
One of the highlights of the event was of course the great Aussie/ Kiwi competition which proved to be extremely close.
Competitors had to compete in both events to be in the running for some awesome prize money totaling $6500 to be paid out over the top 6 places.
