Treble Cone announced today that more natural snowfall and cooler temperatures for snowmaking are required before opening for the 2005 winter season.
Conditions are being monitored on a daily basis and a days notice will be announced prior to opening. “We were optimistic about the past weather system, however less snow has fallen over the past 2 days than expected”, says Ski Area Manager Jackie van der Voort.
Snow conditions are currently insufficient in the Saddle Basin to begin grooming trails. Snow making will begin again on the main basin once temperatures lower to ideal conditions. With the new developments now complete and ready for opening, management and staff are optimistic about the season ahead and look forward to opening the ski area soon.
