QUEENSTOWN  NEW ZEALAND   Sunday 29 June

The Queenstown Winter Festival Big Air competition was held at Coronet Peak from 5:oo till 8:oo this evening. As the final event of a huge Festival week it went off with a huge party. The Coronet Peak groomers did an awesome job with little snow to build the perfect kicker, launching on to a super solid landing. The huge crowd was entertained by band "Go Ask Alice" and a massive sound system blasting.

A strong crew of mostly local riders were whittled down to the top 16 over 2 judged runs. This was then chopped to the final 4 for a do or die 1 run fromat. Equal points saw the battle for first come down to an exciting tie breaking jump for the cash.
Deni Bevin ruled once again, followed by Olly Burke, Glen Howe and Joel Westcott.
