The biggest city in the South Island plays host to this downtown
event in the shadow of the Cathedral. A crowd assembled bigger
than the New Years Eve throng to watch em lay it down.

180cm of snow in 60 hours!!! 5 meter snow drifts at the base
lodge...all adds up to one of the most epic days ever at Mt
Hutt in Canterbury ! Does this mean we will still be riding
in December?

The power of the International Snowboard Federation reaches down under as riders hustle to claim those golden points. Its early in the season but these guys and gals were ripping it right up.

The season kicks off with the Convert, B.O.A 1/2 Pipe comp at Coronet Peak, Queenstown.
Sunshine, a great 1/2 pipe, fun snow, and a huge supportive crowd all making for an excellent first event.

SICK OF WINTER? we hit tahiti for a surf!
The snow has been less than perfect lately so stuff it! we mission to Tahiti in search of the perfect wave.. The mountains are covered in bright green tropical rainforests instead of snow.

nation Brazil dominates these World Surfing Games, but the Kiwi's
make a huge impression and leave with a grin on their faces!

CORONET PEAK is first kiwi resort to open!
The KIWI season is all go. We dusted off the gear, drank some champagne and headed to the Peak. The recent snowfalls have left the mountain prime for opening day. What a way to start the season!

THE AUSTRALIAN RESORTS are open early!
03 June and it is the Aussie boarders who get to ride the chairlifts before the Kiwi's. With some reports saying it's the best early snow since the Sixties. Where were you for opening day?
