The worlds wackiest boarding event see's riders competing in a Boarder-X, a powder eights comp, and then going head to head in the Kitchen.. Southern Lakes Snowboard Champs August 23rd at Coronet Peak.. New Zealands largest snowboard population resides in this area and today they find out who is the best.... Pipeline Boarder X Series Weekly at Coronet Peak.. this weekly series attracts some of the countrys top riders..always lots of niggle... Otago/ Southland Secondary School Champs August 10th at Cardrona.. Southern Schools battle it out on the slopes to claim number 1... Ripcurl Heli Challenge August 2nd in Wanaka Backcountry.. Once a year Wanaka is transformed into a who's who of international Pro Riders for a week of Heli accessed events... N.Z University Champs August 4th at Cardrona.. University teams from around the country get on the Piss...whoops we mean snowboard... K2 Boarder Cross Event August 2nd at Treble Cone.. Annual event held in the natural Quarter Pipes of Treble Cone... The first powder mission of the 98 season July 30th at Cardrona & Treble Cone.. The snow has been a long time coming this year but finally POW POW... The Queenstown Winter Festival July 26th at Queenstown.. One of N.Z's biggest media events--circus and guess what we were in amongst it... The K2 Cardrona Challenge July 25th at Cardrona.. A full on weekend of Giant Slalom, Boarder X and 1/2 Pipe action...
