Were the 2000 British Snowboard Champs a Fiasco?:
Scott's Story | British Association Response | Competitor's Talk

The british scene is becoming a joke and it aint over yet.

Monday was shitter weather so postponed the BX until Friday

Tuesday was Halfpipe, of sorts..........a good shape, but like a soup bowl filled with snot, ............. the best riders got together and tried to have the event postponed until the pipe was ridable. One girl was knocked out in practise, heli evacuted to Innsbruck. But it went ahead, alot of riders sitting out. I said I wasn't doing it,....... but at last minute held some hope of retaining my overall title, so did it, but dropped in 2 hits, then out, over it! AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh! (primal scream)

" They are too busy selling the event to media, getting sponsor $$$$$, selling holidays to the punters!"

Well Yesterday it was the Dual GS event. Another joke though as racing didn't start until 1.30pm. Course was stupid. Timing was screwed up. I actually got feed up by lunch and left......... Martin Sporli won. So did Janna Gibson. But she didn't really as the girl she raced beat her twice, so timing was F@#ked. A kiwi victory of sorts.........

Today was supposed to be the Big Air. But bad weather has postponed it until tommorrow and cancelled the BX altogether. Oh well! It has proven to be a big joke. I guess I can keep the BX title............. I'm so frustrated and annoyed at the British Snowboard Association.

They are too busy selling the event to media, getting sponsor $$$$$, selling holidays to the punters. Then contracting out the event responsibility to useless people who then contract a resort who doesn't give a hoot about British Snowboarding. So the buck is passed!!!! ,.......... so they all fucked it up good and proper.

To be fair weather has been a problem, but they choose a resort that gave them the best deal. $$$$$

They forgot about the riders..........
