In summer 1998, Canadian snowboarder and photographer Gallup returned to the sites of winter action shots and took matching photographs of the snow-less terrain. Gallup describes the project as a "photo essay on how snow, and only snow, can change our environment so drastically that humankind would even dare explore, with the snowboard, regions that we would otherwise consider off limits."
