GL : there are 14 skateparks in Vancouver, and we were lucky enough to be staying in a primo apartment right next door to one of the bigger parks Van has to offer. the Richmond skate park is super close to the airport so if you ever have a spare couple of hours at Van airport catch a cab to the skatepark and checkit out... JB : got into Vancouver after a lazy flight, hooked up with Stu and Legs and rolled thru the city scoping out places to skate, the Arts Center for one. Saw heaps of sk8 spots off vids, then found a sk8 map of Vancouver and saw that there was a sk8park near our house. Next morning, me and Legs went to check it out. It was 50m from our front door and it was sick! Big 1/4s, flatbanks, wall rides, rails, drops, ledges and big lights which made the park more fun at night. The first thing i did was try to pop over a hip and slammed hard, but it got better. Legs popped big indys to fakie on a 1/4. there was just too many links to hit em all - i didnt know where to go next. There wer a few sick locals rip'n around landing all sorts of sick shit. Had a rad time. want to get back there next time i'm in Van, maybe when i get back cause its so near to the airport
